On July 29, 2009, it was announced with 10 years deal that Microsoft will have full access to Yahoo search engine to be used in Microsoft future projects for its search engine Bing.

That quote will bring in a lot of smiles to many people across the world. It was not just any other ordinary news but an extraordinary mainly since many don’t like the Google’s iron fist over the world wide web. It wasn’t just about Google’s dominance  but the lack of competition that bothered most of the industry experts.

And this came in as a breather since Microsoft is renowned for it’s Windows Operating Systems and Yahoo mania which almost every new Internet user gets into. Maybe it’s the mail or the search engine itself, Yahoo is indeed one organization that lasted after the Google’s powerful existence.

Bing.com surely bought some hope in the Search Engine market and I hope this partnership between MS and Yahoo will impact positively in the world of Internet.

This is one good news after a long time. Airtel is slashing the broadband plan rates. That means you can enjoy 1 Mbps for just 1699 Rupees a month ! And the 512 kbps for Rupees 1099 only, ofcourse unlimited.

I was on the 999 plan where I get a speed of about 384 kbps and cost me like 1200 at the end of the month. I just called up Airtel on 121 and upgraded the plan to 512 !! I am so freakin happy haha..  I have actually used speed upto 2 mbps on the airtel connection but the bills were hefty.

This was high time for Airtel before Bsnl or Mtnl took over the market since they are backed by the Government. I could only imagine what other things the Indian consumers are waiting for since India is emerging as the most coolest country in the whole world. Atleast the urban part of it, you know what I mean.

Oh well, that’s a pretty nice and funny question if you ask me. The answer is simple because Google did not achieve success during it’s initial stages either. And no matter what the issue is time and age plays an important factor. And Google has grown up a lot since the time time of it’s existence. They have created a monopoly in the search engine market such that the code of their marketing strategy is quite difficult to tame for a new comer like Bing.com.

All said and done Bing seems to be a real avenger. Within a span of 2 months it is the Top 20 website in the world according to the Alexa ranking. Trust me that’s a real difficult endeavor to have conquered by a website in such a short span.

I am completely aware of how Alexa ranking works. Webmasters know how serious it is to have a good ranking by them. I only wish Bing a successful journey because as a consumer I would definitely want to see some healthy competition no matter if it’s about using a  particular search engine.

Jammu and Kashmir CM Omar Abdullah resigned from his post follwing an allegation by a senior PDP leader. The accusation is that Omar was involved in the Srinagar Sex scandal. It’s all the controversy thats hot and happening on all of the TV channels across the country.

Omar walked out of the assembly though he was physically stopped by his fellow party members. That was one hell of a drama that you should see it on the TV news channels.

Whatever the truth is I would just say that Omar being the Chief minister should defend the allegations and face it no matter what he has to go through. Because the opposition wants him to act radical. and it would be wise enough to prove them wrong. He is one of the cool brigade of the young politicians who are on the rise in India.

Maybe it’s an hoax or maybe it’s real. What matters is that this picture is making it’s rounds on the Internet like never before. This could be a classic case of Photoshop at work. But there is no evidence that a dog can’t be that heavy, it’s quite possible scientifically.

I went on searching for the Ferrari Driver Felipe Massa’s unfortunate accident during the practice session of the Hungarian Grand Prix.
All of the youtube videos have been removed for some reason. I managed to find this one so I am embedding it. It’s not for the entertainment cos it’s real. And I for one know what it feels to come out of an accident trauma. I feel really sorry for Massa. I know he’ll be alright. And come back again and race the rest of the season. I have learnt that Massa is expecting his first baby from his wife. Hope he’ll be alirght in no time. Let’s all wish him the best of luck.

Just when everybody thought the MJ legacy was revealed completely here comes a whopper of surprise ! Omer Bhatti is said to be MJ’s one night stand son.

Call it absurd or overdoing it’s job the popular Antivirus product AVG is creating panic in the iTunes community. After a recent virus definition update of the software it started to alarm the computer user about the trojan ‘Small.bog”. Which ofcourse is a false call.. If you are one of the person facing this problem you can temporarily resolve the problem by following these steps:

1. Open AVG
2. Go to Resident Shield -> Manage Exceptions -> Add Path
3. Add C:\Program Files\iTunes and C:\Program Files\iPod

And do not quarantine the files or else the iTunes will go corrupt and leaving you messed up.
