RBI is coming hard on debt and credit card holders for good this time around. It just simply means increased security and aim to reduce the online crime related to banking. Apart from the card number, cvv, expiry of card and ofcourse your name from August you would be entering one extra detail. And it would just be a security code. So it’s almost like a debt card atm pin.
Whatever it is I am glad RBI is concerned about online fraud and scams. It’s high time before scammers take over the Indian web world. Consider the following details as a gift of some sort but RBI is urging all the banks to make it mandatory if an online transaction is more than 5000 rupees to send out an alert (email, sms..)
I am really happy about all these recent developments. That’s what I expect from a government organization like RBI. Keep em comin.
